GK-88 fits Yamaha S90XS

Didn't think it would fit, but does just right. Enough room to put pedal and chords within the case instead of outside. Has good handle and wheels but skids on bottom not quite long enough so can get hung a little if pullling it up stairs. Getting it into a van/wagon would be easier if it has short handles on both sides in the middle - my Yamaha S90XS is heavy! Would also help when trying to manhandle it down from my SUV. Padding is great, well done zips and overall has done well in first gig.

Not So Tough

first time i used it, when lifting the case when loaded with my Roland 88-key, the handle tore away from the case. The "ballistic" material simply ripped and the handle could not be used to carry the case/keyboard. I'm so disappointed in the durability of the ballistic material.

Bigger than expected and very durable. The only con is that its heavy, coupled with the weight of my keyboard you definitely need to use the wheels and handles.

  • Zipper busted after 9 months of use. About 1-2 gigs a week.

I haven't used this case yet, but I own another Gator brand case and the Gator quality is top-notch!

Could use more handles. Otherwise, it gets the job done.

I was asked to buy a less expensive keyboard bag but when given the chance, I decided to upgrade to the GK -88. I am glad I did. The case is sturdy and has ample room for, not only the keyboard, but other components. The wheels allow for easy transport.

  • I would recommend this as a basic case...

This case is not overly fancy or padded, but it does afford adequate protection as you ferry the keyboard from home to performing venue.

Looks good as a case to fit my keyboard into but one glaring question: How can the interior width be less than the exterior width?! I suspect a typo but without correct dimensions how do I know if my keyboard will fit this case(?)! Please advise!
