Ernie Ball: The Colors of Rock 'N' Roll

Description
Developed by the iconic string pioneers at Ernie Ball, these premium strings are precision-engineered to handle the lower tunings metal players crave while still delivering a balanced tone and slinky feel. The Not Even Slinky set features gauges of .012, .016, .024, .032, .044 and .056, providing the ideal string tension for drop D, drop C and other detuned tunings.
Optimal Tone and Tension for Lower Tunings
The Not Even Slinky set is made with nickel-plated steel wrap wire and tin-plated hex core wire for a tone that's neither too bright nor too dark when detuned. The heavier bottom end provides the tension needed for lower tunings so notes ring out clearly with minimized fret buzz. Players can drop tune with confidence knowing these strings were designed specifically for that purpose.
Familiar Slinky Feel
While the Not Even Slinky set handles lower tunings, it still provides the slinky and responsive feel Ernie Ball strings are known for. The tin-plated plain strings and hex core wire give these strings a familiar and fast feel for nimble fretting and bending. Players accustomed to standard or lighter gauge sets will feel right at home with the playability of these detuned-focused strings.
Precision and Durability
Like all Ernie Ball strings, the Not Even Slinky set is precision manufactured to strict tolerances for consistency and long life. The nickel-plated wrap wire and tin-plated components provide corrosion resistance and durability. Restringing is minimized so players can spend more time playing and less time changing strings.
The Choice of Legendary Players
Ernie Ball strings have been the choice of legendary rock and metal players since the 1960s. Icons like Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Slash and Steve Vai rely on Ernie Ball strings for their tone and feel. The Not Even Slinky set delivers the premium quality and performance that has made Ernie Ball an industry leader for over 50 years.

HA HA HA!
I would not recommend Not Even Slinky's for every guitar but, I use these strings in standard tuning and I could not be happier. These are really aggressive stings not for the weak of heart, or of finger. They sound amazing! and they really don't break very often. I play every day and only break one every five or six months, amazing. p.s I'm sure there good for down tunings to.

The worst strings I've purchased in awhile!
I purchased these for the intent of drop tuning on my Floyd Rose, And they sound absolutely terrible... I play a (Schecter Diamond series Damien FR) And have a Seymour Duncan Sh8 invader in the bridge... Yet these strings provide no sustain and create tons of flat sounds that cancel out your low mids and highs... I'd honestly only recommend these for clean channels and crunchy blues, if that's what you like... Otherwise they aren't worth it imo... The pros to these are strength, That's it...

I purchased this set of strings for a Vox travel guitar, which needed heavier gauge strings to eliminate a rubber band like tension of the average electric set of strings. Works like a charm ! Added benefit, it sounds beefier.👍👍

The durability and long lasting stability that I and many professionals can rely on. I've been using ernie ball strings for years. There's many artists on the back of the strings that use them so it's a brand I trust.

Ernie ball is the only brand I use quality and string life is unmatched. I haven't found a brand that's better for the price alone. Affordable strings and a product that actually last. I use these strings they definitely hold up for low end tunings. They don't get too loose either. Yes it does chug

Great strings, The gauge on the lower strings offer some nice sounding pinch harmonics in the lower register. #sweepstakes

Recently set up my ESP LTD KH-V in drop B tuning with these strings and the tension is perfect. No issues at all with intonation and even after having these on for a few weeks they're still retaining their brightness and clarity. Highly recommended for drop tuning #sweepstakes
