I work playing piano, vibes and sing background voc and lead sometimes. Since I'm stationary I bought the SM35 XLR which comes with the adapter so it plugs into a mic cable and don't have to deal with a transmitter. It's a condenser mic and needs phantom power, which is easily available on most mixers.

  • Glad I bought this

So far has been a wonderful purchase. We had a bit of trouble getting it hooked into our system, buttons I think that was our fault. It is a tad bit big on my head, but I'm a rather small person.

Used my Shure for the first time and it was awesome. Sound quality was incredible. I am a public speaker and this headset allowed me to perform at a high level since I wasn't confined by the typical hand held mike or clip on lapel mike. Freedom. In fact,I let one of the other speakers use it and there was a marked improvement in her performance because she wasn't hampered by the microphone. The headset plugged right into the provided belt clip set. My first experience couldn't have gone better. I am the keynote speaker in two weeks and I know the shure headset will give me the freedom to excel!

  • Never disappoints

My rep Kevin Clouden is the best. As a singing drummer he did a lot of research to see which headset mic would work best. I bought this Shure with the wireless package and liked it so much that i bought another withthe XLR cable...I buy thousands of dollars worth of gear every year from Kevin and he never disappoints...

  • I would buy this product again!

My question is two-fold.... do you have to buy the receiver separately?? And I would be using it for pageant vocalists - would this work for us?
