Just what I needed.

I couldn't be happier. This bag offers great high-quality protection. I measured carefully and this bag fits like a glove. Durable covering and very effective padding without being bulky. Great zipper that fully opens for access. It has a pocket for extras, a handle and a shoulder strap. I always said I would never use a gig bag for one of my guitars. Well, a friend recently upgraded from his starter guitar and gave the starter guitar to me. I had $0 invested so I carried it around for a while to places I would never take my "good" guitar. Finally I couldn't stand it getting dinged-up and bought this bag for it (just out of respect for all musical instruments). I was very pleasantly surprised.

Maybe i should have shopped around more

The bag is serviceable. The padding seems adequate for protecting the instrument against minor bumps. There were three things that i didn't like about it. 1. It does not appear to be designed to be carried as a backpack. There is one shoulder strap which is fine, but it doesn't seem like it would have taken much to have put two straps on it so that you can ride a bike with it or just tote it around town for busking more conveniently. If you are just taking it out of the car and into the bar then sure, a single shoulder strap is great. But for self-powered transportation, a backpack design is needed. 2. There is no good place to put small oddly shaped objects, such as capo, tuner, packet of picks, etc. The pocket it does have is suitable for holding a small number of pages of sheet music or a folder or thin book, maybe a packet of spare strings. It is simply a slit in the cover with a zipper and clearly is intended to hold something thin and flat. Things in this compartment are not protected--the padding is on the inside side of the pocket. Oddly shaped or somewhat larger objects will put outward pressure on the outer layer of material, i could foresee them possibly poking through or being damaged or causing damage to the guitar if any substantial pressure or impact was incurred in the area where the object was. What is needed is a little pouch, perhaps at the base of the neck where it widens to the body, perhaps one on each side, for capo, harmonica, etc. Also, even the compartment that it does have would be much better if it were a sewn-on pocket with 3 dimensions rather than just a slit, so that even if it were still limited to sheet music, it could at least hold a larger book or a three-ring binder or several small books. 3. I think this could be a tiny bit bigger. One review says it fits like a glove, as if that's a good thing. It fits, but tightly, and to me is not a good thing. I feel like i have to shoehorn the guitar into the bag.

I needed something to keep the pet hair and dust off of an acoustic guitar. This was very budget friendly and still quite durable. Carrying straps are nice and overall appearance is good. I've spent hundreds of dollars on cases and bags and this cheap one does the job quite well. Materials seem good enough. It's not like I'm dragging this thing around everywhere.

  • I would recommend this guitar gig bag!

I was very pleased when this arrived and could tell that the thickness was very good for protecting our guitar. I also like that the zippers are sturdy and work well. Nice bag overall! #sweepstakes

It will "fit" but be a bit big. The Tele is not a Dreadnought. Please see ------------ Road Runner RR5TEG Highway Premium Electric Guitar Gig Bag
