This shampoo is awesome! I had doubts that it would work as well as it did (in my experience only sulfate-free shampoos that are much more costly than this have worked well on my hair.) It has made my hair so soft and clean. I read some reviews stating it doesn't remove buildup, but I only wash my hair 2x a week and found that it definitely did remove all the buildup from my hair. My hair is also very prone to retaining residue from heavier shampoos and I cannot ever use conditioner. This shampoo did not leave any residue nor did it leave my hair feeling dry.
Some people have rated this product poorly bc it doesn't lather enough which is quite misleading because it's not suppose to lather a lot! It's a sulfate free shampoo so it will produce a mild lather, but if you use a little more than you normally would, you can definitely work up a nice lather.
Oh and it smells SO refreshing. The scent has a hint of tea tree oil but is mostly minty. Tea tree oil smells very strong and medicinal on its own, so I am glad it's not an overpowering smell in this shampoo. It has a mild cooling effect on the scalp that lingers after you've rinsed it out. As the hair dries however very little smell is retained, which is great for someone who doesn't enjoy smelling their shampoo all day long.
I cannot yet speak to its effectiveness on dandruff but I have faith in tea tree oil! What I can say is that I have lately been seeing a powdery dandruff where I part my hair even after just washing it, but after my first time using his shampoo, I don't see any of that, which is definitely a great sign.
