Wickedly funny performances from Michael Caine, Steve Martin and Glenn Headley make this 80's comedy timeless. Caine's continental con-man gives Martin's grifter a master class in sophistication, culture, European manners and running a big con. You will not regret watching 'Ruprecht' hammering his pots and pans while yelling "Oklahoma, Oklahoma, Oklahoma"- one of this film's many highlights. Glenn Headley is the love interest with a heart of gold- don't miss it!

This is a classic movie. I can't believe they're trying to remake it with Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson. Whoever thought they could replace the comic genius of Steve Martin and the subtle class of Michael Caine is sorely mistaken. Been waiting for this catalog title to come out on Blu-ray. Glad it finally is.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is one of my favorite Steve Martin and Michael Caine, and Glenne Headly movies, Such a great cast. the story line is amazing. It’s one of those movies you can watch over and over again. Great movie to buy.

I've been a fan of Steve Martin and Michael Caine for a number of years, and this movie always makes me laugh. I was pleased to find it in BluRay, so it was a must have for my collection.

This movie is fantastic. On one hand it is a great comedy starting 2 great actors. On the other hand, it is a true to form comparison of the American way versus the British way. Love this movie.

Steve Martin and Michael Caine play a small-time hustler and suave gentleman confidence man, respectively. They place a bet that whoever can scam money off of someone, the loser will leave town for good. Hijinks ensue while each man tries to one up the other, while failing now and then. There are some potentially offensive scenes (Ruprecht), but the screenplay is intelligent and funny. The conclusion is great and fits perfectly in the scheme (pun intended) of things.
The Blu-ray quality is surprisingly good for a catalog title. The picture quality is pretty sharp and detailed but not over-enhanced. There are source problems, but they're not overtly noticeable. The DTS-HD MA audio is surprisingly a 5.1 mix, but is not active in the rear channels. But the sound is clear and volume levels don't have to be adjusted when people speak (turn louder) or when music plays (turn softer). That is an irritant with certain other Blu-rays. All the extras from the DVD are here except one: The Franz Oz commentary for the teaser is missing, but the teaser is here (this scene wasn't in the movie).
The con is on! This title is highly recommended if you want a good laugh.
