Pretty but water gets inbetween the glass and silver bottom stem.

I LOVED THE FLUTES - BUT MAYBE BECAUSE OF THE HANDLING IN MAILING ONE OF THE FLUTES HAD BROKEN APART FROM ITS BASE - I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO REPLACE IT - SO I USED CRAZY GLUE TO PUT IT BACK TOGETHER...I HOPE IT HOLDS...

These are a absolutely beautiful cake serving set. They look even better in person and were perfect for our cake cutting at our wedding. However, make sure you leave plenty of time to clean them the first time. Ours came with the item/price stickers on the knife and server and even after soaking them for a long time I still couldn't get the sticky residue off of them. My husband end up using solvent to remove the remaining adhesive from the stickers. Once that frustration was solved though they were great! We bought the matching flutes too.
