Assassin's Creed III: Liberation puts gamers in control of Aveline de Grandpré, an Assassin of French and African heritage who battles Spanish forces in the turbulent era leading up to the American Revolution. Set primarily in New Orleans, in a time when the plaçage system linked young multiracial women with wealthy and influential white men, Aveline uses her feminine wiles and humble appearance to surprise and eliminate oppressors who threaten the burgeoning republic.
