The Typing of the Dead is for nearly all intents and purposes, an exact copy of the light-gun shooting title, The House of the Dead 2. The big difference however, is that instead of shooting the encroaching zombie hordes, you're required to type in words, phrases, and sentences to eradicate them. The stages, enemies, and game structure are a carbon copy of the aforementioned light-gun title, though new "missions" are interspersed throughout the levels; asking players to defeat a certain number of zombies within a given time limit and other such mini-objectives.
