The eighth feature entry in Konami's premiere survival-horror series continues the traditions of tense exploration and hell-spawned attacks in a disturbing, rural setting, while adding stereoscopic 3D visuals to engulf the player in hazy scenes of pending doom. Set in and around the recurrently creepy town of Silent Hill, Downpour follows an original storyline of a main character with a troubled background. The adventure begins as a prison bus goes off the road in a heavy storm, and convict Murphy Pendleton finds himself, alone and unarmed, in the woods that outskirt the village.
