The 300 Watt Winter Hot Aquael Pond Heater is a floating pond heater which provides spot heating of the pond water surface in the winter and maintains artificial blowhole when the surrounding temperature falls below 0 deg C. The hole maintained by this heater allows essential gas exchange in the pond and protects its inhabitants from suffocation. The 300 Watt Winter Hot Aquael Pond Heater included a safety self resetting thermostatic switch, so in the event of the unit overheating (if for example it was accidently switch on when out of water) the internal thermostatic switch will turn it off, and then reset it when the temperature reduces.
