Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 gives Vita gamers a chance to take on a revamped version of the first game in Idea Factory's quirky RPG series inspired by the real world "console wars. " Players once again return to the land of Gameindustri, where four goddesses battle for control and their respective homelands are representations of specific consoles: Noire presides over Lastation (PS3); Vert rules Leanbox (Xbox 360); Blanc governs Lowee (Wii); and the main character Neptune presides over Planeptune, a reference to Sega's unreleased Neptune console.

As Neptune, players explore dungeons and engage in turn-based battles with monsters unleashed by a mysterious woman known as Arfoire, all in an effort to find the Histoire, a book that contains all the world's secrets.
